I choose to use bright aluminum to craft most of my pieces as it's lightweight and hypoallergenic. Stainless steel can sometimes contain trace amounts of nickel, so I avoid it unless I know for a fact that it's of a high enough grade (316L Surgical Steel) to be free of reactive metals. I'm extremely allergic to nickel, so avoiding working with it or selling it is of the utmost importance to me because I neither wish to harm myself nor my customers.
Do you accept custom orders?
On a case-by-case basis. If customs are currently open, it will be stated in my instagram bio (@faeforgedstudios). I occasionally have to close them if I've received an inordinate volume of orders or if I'm preparing inventory for a vending event.
